Jeffrey R. Sarmiento is a glass artist based in Newcastle, England. Although he no longer is part of an organized gymnastics squad, he continues to maintain his acrobatic dexterity through daily stretching and exercise. He enjoys watching episodes of "Battlestar Galactica" on his iPod.
"Ethnicity is not just inherited, but rather constructed. Repetition, mistranslation and correction are a source of inspiration. Glass acts as a lens that can focus, distort and transform ways of seeing."
